Moab may offer front-row seats to the new Jeep Wrangler pickup truck

You may have heard swirling rumors around Fort Thomas, Fort Mitchell, Highland Heights, Newport KY, and Cincinnati OH about an all-new Jeep Wrangler pickup truck; after years of concept trucks, pickup conversion kits, and quiet promises, we'll be getting the compact truck of our dreams:

A four-wheel drive, fully-capable pickup truck built up from the legendary Jeep Wrangler SUV, manufactured in Toledo, with no necessary upfitting.

Jeep Wrangler models have been offered with expensive conversion kits for years now (kits like the Scrambler, Brute, and the JK-8 easily ran close to $10,000 each) but this would mark the very first time the Jeep brand would offer a pickup truck straight out of the box. And we couldn't be more thrilled.

Though we've been left with radio silence in terms of cost, pricing, specs, trim levels, and release date for the Jeep Wrangler pickup truck, with close events like the New York International Auto Show and the 2016 Moab Easter Jeep Safari, we can only hope to get some concrete information about the new model soon. With at least two Jeep truck concepts riding at the Safari, we might even see a glimpse of the future.

Check out the video below for a peek at the vehicles that will be driving in Moab.

The Easter Safari will run March 20th - 27th, while the New York Auto Show kicks off on March 25th and curtains on April 3rd. Check back with the Jeff Wyler team blog then, for more information about models like the Jeep Wrangler pickup truck.
